The silk in this panel came from a bolt of fabric that my dad used to make model airplane wings from. I had to do a little pleading but in the end he gave me a yard.
The silver images are made with a paint that acted as a batik-like medium. I used Jacquard silk paints to created the sections.
After the images were made, I hand quilted the piece with metallic threads.
