I have always loved the feel of raw silk, and this piece uses some of my most treasured bits and pieces. I also used an embroidered cotton fabric from India.
This purse is made from the Penelope's Purse pattern.
I crazy pieced the fabrics onto a piece of muslin for stability. I then added a layer of batting, and machine quilted it with metallic threads.
After the purse pattern sections were cut, I added the wonderful collection of vintage and new MOP, celluloid, thrermoset, and plastic buttons.
