I was asked to appraise a vintage button collection that had been given to The Creative Stitchery Guild, a local group that celebrates the art of needlecraft. I sorted, and researched and identified the collection and in payment I received an assortment from the collection for myself.
Many from these buttons are found here: the olive green Bakelite (center front); the two peach colored celluloid (left side); the light green marbleized Bakelite (top edges); and many of the brass and glass pieces.
Antique Autumn Roses also has a wonderful wrapped metallic gold center piece (seen to the left center front) was given to me by a dear friend. The piece has wrapped metal beads that dangle to the bottom of the necklace.
The other stunning components are the gold flower shaped roundels (seen center left and right), that really make the rest of the colors stand out. I also used vintage and new beads and charms, many of these treasures that I had been collecting, some from my "hippie" teen years.
