This beret is part of the "Indian Roses" ensemble. I had owned this beret for over twenty years, it is made from a burgundy colored satin, with an elastic band. My daughter used to wear it with her Renaissance Faire outfit.
I embellished it with roses made from silk ribbons that I had dyed in a class a few years ago. I dyed the ribbons using threads and buttons to create the images.
Additional ribbon flowers and leaves were made with left-over scraps of French wire ribbon.
